So long ago... if memory serves
me, I was the stage manager for the Fantastiks,
(October, 1970) and one of the street urchins
in The Roar of The Greasepaint (February, 1971).
Mr. Hill, through his new contemporary music class,
infused the choral program at Nova with just that;
contemporary music and an introduction to stage
and theatre. Mrs. Hall, who was my best-loved
English teacher had a wit and wisdom that blessed
the many of us who adored her. From Nova, through
graduate work at FSU and now co-owning two businesses
- from Fort Lauderdale to California and back
to the east coast of Georgia - I continue to
feel grateful for the music and acting events
that Hill and Hall envisioned and carried out.
With a partner, I've my own multimedia design
and consulting business, Calhoon and Jopson
Multimedia Consulting. We guide companies through
the process of creating multomedia kiosk presentations
for trade shows, CD-ROM high-production-value
training systems, web-delivered training design,
and print-based self study courses.
My other business is a tea consulting and education
service, Two Cups at My Table. My tea partner
and I offer classes and lectures on the origins
of tea, it's properties, cultivation, growing
regions and varieities, as well a proper etiquette,
how to host a memorable tea party, and how to
brew a perfect cup of tea. We teach classes
through adult education programs, private training
sessions, and are working on developing an instructor's
tea guide to be published by TEA magazine based
out of Scotland, Connecticut.
